Mm, one way, I can see you, huh!

I know you really need to see me, it's such a lovely sight, yeah,
I watch you from my mirror, hey, and I know you wanna get with me tonight,
You're looking kinda sexy baby, ah, you wanna know how I know, well,
I don't think I should really say it, but hey, what the heck, I'm telling, telling why
What he needs to know, I'll save it till the end then
I'm feeling I should tell you but I'll like to watch you wait instead,

You know I never liked roses, I never liked you to like, tell me
Who's that girl walking through your door, and what is she doing with mine,
don't like us

Chorus:
It's a One Way Mirror, and you've been cheating on me
You really think you're clever, but you don't know what I can see
'Cause there's a One Way Mirror, and only I can see, do it
What you're doing to her, oh you got to be kidding me

You're loving her just the same way baby, as you've have always need, uh
it's a crime of passion, and that crime should only be with me,
You know I gave you all I had, that you causing me grieve,
Well when you're done with using her, will you come running back to me,
No I don't think so
What he needs to know, I'll save it till the end then,
I'm feeling I should tell you, but I like to watch you wait instead,

You know I never liked roses, I never liked you to like, tell me
Who's that girl walking through your door, and what is she doing with mine,

Chorus 2x

Rap:
Come on then and tell me do you think what I deserve
is what you giving someone else, especially her,
taking it and giving it when you really want to, uh, ho
Come on then and tell me do you think what I deserve
is what you giving someone else, especially her,
taking it and giving it when you really want to, uh, wooh!

Chorus.

PERSONAL REVIEW:

This is the first of the two new songs Doris wrote for the new Five Star-album (Doris' "Surely" & "I Give You Give" are high-quality remixes from the "Heart & Soul"-album). When I heard this track for the first time I thought this was a forgotten track from the 1990 "Five Star"-album. You can see it positive: it refreshes the album. But (here it comes) with all those very nice, warm polished and soulful "Eclipse' tracks, it just doesn't fit in.
The words are cool, I like the revenge-sound in it, and it's obvious (esp. in the rap) what she's trying to tell us.
Listen well to the chorus, 'cause Denise helps her sis a bit out with her second voice, something she also did in "I Give You Give '94" at the end of the track.
I don't want to be very negative on "One Way Mirror", but it's one of my least faves on the "Eclipse" album. I probably gonna skip this one every time like I did with "Secret From My Heart" on "Heart & Soul". But let's face it: Miss D. has a discography to be proud of.
I've heard from very reliable sources that Doris new penned track "It" is as good and funky as any.
Although I prefer to have the Five Star-group together, I have faith in Doris going solo, so let's hope she's gonna kick "It"!
